Status Yellow snow warning remains in place for North West

The cold-snap is continuing right across the country today.

There’s a national low temperature alert in place until midday today, with a status yellow warning for snow for Donegal, Leitrim, Mayo and Sligo.

Northern Ireland also has a snow-and ice warning this morning, for Antrim, Armagh, Down, Fermanagh, Tyrone and Derry.

Motorists should be prepared for difficult travelling conditions.

There are also warnings that low-temperatures may cause issues for vulnerable people – and for animal welfare.
