Gardai have confirmed that an earlier crash near Hughes Bridge in Sligo has now been cleared.   The minor collision happened at around 3pm.   However, Gardai say that traffic is heavy in and around Sligo this evening with congestion along a number of routes in the town centre.

Emergency services are currently attending the scene of a crash at Hughes Bridge in Sligo.   The crash, involving a lorry and a car happened at around 3pm.   Details of injuries, if any, are not yet known.   Motorists are being advised to approach the area with caution.
