Enhanced Bus Services for Sligo Town and County



Sligo town and county look set to benefit from additional bus services.

 

The S3 route in Sligo looks to finally be launched.

 

Long running concerns have been expressed for some time over the service that covers areas such as Maugheraboy, Finisklin estate, and the First Sea Road are not being served.

 

Residents in Ballintogher and Ballygawley, meanwhile are to benefit from a revised bus route.

 

TFI Local Link’S Route 566 from Dowra to Sligo, will include a stop in Ballintogher and will make four trips per day from Monday to Sunday.

 

The service will also provide two additional evening services in each direction on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday nights.

 

Ballygawley and Carraroe Village will also be connected to Sligo by a revised Route 572.

 

Cathaoirleach of the Sligo-Drumcliff Municipal District Thomas Walsh says the services will provide vital connection to local residents:
