Gardaí have confirmed that they received a report concerning the discovery of skeletal remains at a construction site in Ballytivnan, Sligo.
In a statement to OceanFM news Gardai says that the remains are understood to be historical in nature.
The garda statement went on to confirm that no offences have been disclosed at this time to An Garda Síochána in respect of the matter.
