North West hospitals among the top three most overcrowded in the country today



The two main hospitals in the North West are among the top three most overcrowded facilities in Ireland today.

According to the latest figures from the INMO, there were 32 people waiting on trolleys in Sligo University Hospital this morning, as it remains the second most overcrowded hospital in the country. There were a further 25 in Letterkenny, making it the joint-third most overcrowded, alongside University Hospital Cork.

The total amount of people waiting in the North West today lies at 57.

University Hospital Limerick remains the busiest, with 91 people awaiting admission there today.

Nationwide, today’s figures stand at 386.
