At 16.35 on Friday afternoon, Sligo-Leitrim Mountain Rescue Team were tasked to assist two individuals.
The team were tasked by An Garda Síochána to rescue two individuals that had become crag fast on very steep ground.
Eleven team members responded to the task.
The individuals were put in harnesses and attached to ropes and a snake belay was used to safely lower them to safe ground.
The individuals were then walked back to the roadside. The individuals were uninjured but very cold.
The operation was stood down at 18.56.
