The funeral of Damien Conlon takes place tomorrow in Sligo.
The 38 year old was shot dead in Australia last month.
Luke Simon (57) who is understood to be his father-in-law, has been charged with his murder.
Damien Conlon, originally from Sligo town, had been living in Australia for several years and in 2021 received his Australian citizenship.
On the morning of February 9th, Mr. Conlon was found suffering from a gunshot wound by police following an incident in his home in a rural South Wales village.
He was treated by ambulance paramedics but died at the scene.
Luke Simon (57) was charged with Mr Conlon’s murder and was remanded in custody for seven weeks.
He was refused bail and is due back in court on April 5.
Damien Conlon’s Funeral takes place tomorrow morning in St Anne’s Church, Sligo at 11:00am.
He is survived by his parents and two brothers, who live in Sligo town.
