Motorist caught for range of offences in Sligo area



A motorist has been caught for a range of road offences in the Sligo area.

 

Gardai discovered that the motorist in question had no valid driving licence, no insurance while their tax and NCT had been expired since 2019.

 

The detection was made yesterday while Roads Policing Gardai were on patrol.

 

The offences were detected by getting a Automatic Number Plate Recognition (ANPR) and the vehicle was subsequently intercepted.

 

The car has been taken off off the road while the offender now faces a day in court.

 

Gardai have also reminded all road users that using the mobility app, they now have this information at their fingertips on the roadside and are asking everyone not to take any unnecessary risks.
