TV programme to examine likely motive behind the controversial killing of former Sligo based priest

The likely motive behind the controversial killing of former Sligo-based priest Fr. Niall Molloy will be explored in an RTÉ Investigates programme tonight.

Father Niall Molloy was formerly based in St Anne’s Parish in Sligo. New documents have revealed the extent of the relationship between Fr, Molloy and Therése Flynn prior to his killing following a wedding reception in a house at Clara County Offaly.

The new information contains details that contradict Garda statements taken at the time from Mrs Flynn’s husband, Richard.

Father Molloy’s nephew Bill Maher, says what the family really want, is a commission of investigation.
