Sligo County Council have closed the road to Streedagh beach due to the large crowds that have gathered.
The good weather has brought people out to local amenities, however, the beach is said to be very crowded.
Gardaí and Sligo County Council are advising people to stay away from the area.
People are being encouraged to follow all public health guidelines if out and about this weekend.
