A planning application has been submitted to Sligo County Council to build almost 90 houses in Sligo town.
The proposed location for the development is along the Strandhill Road.
The planning application for 88 houses was submitted to Sligo County Council on the 15th of February.
It consists of 55 three bedroom semi-detached houses, 17 four bedroom semi-detached houses and 2 four bedroom detached houses.
The submission also includes provision for four one bedroom apartments, eight two bedroom apartments and two three bedroom apartments.
The proposed development would be located at Ard Finn, Rathedmond which is located on the Strandhill Road.
Connection to the existing public sewer system, creation of public open space, works to site boundaries as well as a pedestrian link to Knappagh Road/Strandhill is also included in the application.

A decision is due on the development on the 11th of April this year.
