The Chief Medical Officer has expressed concern that 8 people were admitted to ICU with covid-19 yesterday.
That’s more admissions in a 24 hour period than has happened since the middle of Spring.
There are currently no patients in the ICU units in Sligo or Letterkenny Hospitals.
Nationally 227 more cases have been confirmed and five patients have died.
An additional 26 cases were reported in Donegal yesterday while once again there were no cases in either Sligo or Leitrim.
