Sligo restaurant owner says coronavirus impacting tourism



A Sligo restaurant owner claims that the coronavirus will send the world into a global recession if it is to continue.

This comes as 80 percent of corporate bookings in venues across the country are being cancelled due to the coronavirus outbreak.

The Restaurants Association of Ireland is calling for an immediate reduction of the VAT rate to 9 percent for six months as it currently stands at 13.5%

The Association also wants Irish Banks to defer loan repayments for the same period of time.
