Searches conducted in Louth as part of major Donegal cocaine haul

Searches have been conducted in County Louth this morning, as part of an investigation into the discovery of a major cocaine haul along the Donegal coastline last year.

Packages, containing cocaine, weighed approximately 60kg with an estimated street value in excess of €4 million were found along the Donegal shoreline on Wednesday July 19th 2023.

This morning, Donegal Gardaí assisted by Louth Gardaí have carried out searches at a number of locations in Dundalk.

Items of potential evidential value to the investigation have been seized, including electronic devices and documents.

Gardai say that no arrests have been made at this time and that investigations are ongoing.
