North West abuse services to receive additional funding



Additional funding of €6.3million has been granted for domestic, sexual and gender-based violence services nationwide.

 

Minister for Justice, Helen McEntee TD, announced it today, and included in the allocation is €40,000 for Sligo Rape Crisis and Sexual Abuse Counselling, €142,247 for Donegal Rape Crisis Centre, and €59,100 for Donegal Women’s Refuge.

 

Minister McEntee said the funding is a “testament to this Government’s steadfast commitment to tackling domestic, sexual and gender-based violence and to supporting the services on the frontline who are supporting victims.”
