Plight of fishing communities to be discussed in the Dáil

The treatment of Irish fishermen and fishing communities will be discussed in the Dáil this afternoon.

Independent Donegal TD, Thomas Pringle will raise the matter with the Minister for Agriculture, fellow Donegal TD, Charlie McConalogue.

Deputy Pringle has criticised the government’s handling of the fishing industry, saying that fishing communities have been “shafted”.

Minister McConalogue will also face questions from concerned fishermen at a public meeting in Killybegs later on this evening.
