A man is due in court today charged in connection with a major disturbance in Sligo Town.
A number of Garda vehicles were damaged during the course of the incident which happened at St. Brigid’s Place in the early hours of yesterday morning.
A major emergency operation was conducted in the area and lasted for several hours.
It’s believed that a property in the area was also badly damaged during the course of the incident.
A man, aged in his 30s was arrested for criminal damage offences and is due in court around now.
Gardai have confirmed that there were no injuries and that investigations are ongoing.
