Leitrim senior men’s footballers made a convincing start to their Allianz Division 4 league campaign with a 2-17 to 1-5 victory over Waterford at Fraher Field.
Goals from and the impressive Evan Sweeney and Riordan O’Rourke, coupled with a penalty save in the second half by Leitrim keeper Nevin O’Donnell, helped Andy Moran’s side run out convincing winners.
