The long awaited link road between Mailcoach Road and Burton Street in Sligo Town is set to be completed next year.
Funding was allocated for the project at Sligo County Council’s recent annual Budget meeting.
Construction work on the road was previously expected to begin this year, however it was delayed due to a lack of funding.
Speaking to Ocean FM News, Independent Councillor Declan Bree was delighted that the project will progress next year, after years of campaigning for it.
