Local authorities to benefit from Additional Staff Resource funding

Almost €260,000 will be given to local authorities in Sligo, Leitrim and Donegal in Additional Staff Resource funding.

The announcement was made this morning by Minister of State at the Department of Rural and Community Development, Joe O’Brien.

All three local authorities in the North West are set to benefit, with an injection of an extra million euro added to this year’s fund.

Donegal is to get the highest amount, with €106,000 euro coming their way. That’s followed by Leitrim, on €76,800 euro, and Sligo receiving €75,000.

In total, almost €3m has awarded to local authorities around the country, with the funding going towards supporting the work of the Local Community Development Committees (LCDCs) through Additional Staff Resource (ASR) payments.
