Waterworld in Bundoran has been awarded a prestigious National Quality Standard award, after exceeding standards throughout 2023.
An inspection on the leisure centre was carried out earlier this year, and Waterworld received the award as a result.
The NQS awards are specific awards for health, leisure and fitness centres in Ireland, and Waterworld was one of only two facilities in the country to receive the “exceeded” standard award, under the Leisure Facilities With A Pool category.
The 2023 season was the first full season for Waterworld since 2019, and management at the facility were said to be delighted to receive the award.
