A Garda investigation is continuing this morning following into an aggravated burglary at a residence in Coolaney over the weekend.
During the course of the incident, two men are understood to have accosted a man in his 60s after entering his residence.
The suspects subsequently made off with a sum of cash.
The break-in happened at around 7.15pm on Friday evening.
The scene was preserved, and a technical examination was conducted.
Gardaí have confirmed that no arrests have yet been made.
Gardaí are appealing to anyone who was in the area at the time and who may have witnessed anything to come forward.
Anyone with dash-cam footage is also being asked to make this available to investigating officers.
