Gardaí have arrested a male in his teens in relation to a serious assault on a teenager on Mailcoach Road on Tuesday evening.
The teenager, who was assaulted, was taken to Sligo University Hospital with serious injuries.
He is currently continuing to receive treatment at Beaumont Hospital.
Gardaí are appealing for witnesses to the incident which occurred at approximately 7:10pm outside a premises.
Gardaí appealing to anyone with video footage of this incident are asked to make it available to Gardaí, this includes road users with camera footage (including dash-cam) who were travelling on the Mailcoach road between 6:45pm and 7:15pm.
