More clarity is needed regarding the Governments student accommodation plans.
That’s according to Independent Sligo Leitrim TD Marc MacSharry, who was reacting to yesterday’s announcement that more than 2,700 affordable student accommodation beds will be built on college campuses across the country in the next five years.
Sligo has arguably experienced one of the biggest student accommodation crises this year.
Universities are to get access to low interest loans, worth 200-million euro, over a 40-year period from the European Investment Bank loan.
But Deputy MacSharry says the detail is vague and a lot of questions have yet to be answered:
