A Sligo man has been named as the new Chief Executive of the Western Development Commission.
Allan Mulrooney will begin the position next month.
Mr Mulrooney had been acting as interim CEO since December 2022, following his predecessor, Tomás Ó Síocháin, moving on to become CEO of Údarás na Gaeltachta.
The Western Development Commission is the state agency responsible for the economic and social development of the West of Ireland.
Previously, Mr Mulrooney held the role of Head of Communications and Atlantic Economic Corridor Development at the WDC for over four years.
