Surge in numbers waiting at Letterkenny University Hospital



There were 61 patients waiting at the north west’s two main hospitals this morning.

The latest INMO trolley watch figures have reported a surge in numbers at Letterkenny University Hospital where 33 people were waiting for a bed, an increase of 21.

The number has decreased Sligo University Hospital however with 28 waiting on trolleys this morning.

University Hospital Limerick remains the country’s most overcrowded hospital with 84.

In total, there were 479 people waiting for beds in hospitals across the country.
