A Sligo-Leitrim TD has urged sports clubs and communities to apply for funding under the Sports Capital and Equipment Programme.
The funding will open for new applications from July 17th to provide support to sports clubs and communities to develop infrastructure.
Fine Gael deputy, Frank Feighan, has welcomed the announcement, and is advising eligible sports clubs across the constituency to review the scheme and look at making an application when it opens next week.
