Over 60 waiting at North West hospitals



There were once again over 60 people waiting on trolleys at the North West’s two main hospitals this morning.

There were 46 people waiting at Sligo University Hospital, making it the joint-second highest in the country today.

The figure was lower at Letterkenny University Hospital, where 15 were waiting this morning.

Nationally, University Hospital Limerick remains the country’s most overcrowded facility with 81 recorded patients on trolleys this morning.

The total number of patients across the country stands at 413 today according to the Irish Nurses and Midwives Organisation.
