Local Authorities issue annual warnings ahead of bonfire celebrations



Warnings have been issued to people not to burn general waste and tyres tonight during the Bonfire celebrations

 

June 23rd, is traditionally the night when Bonfires are lit at sunset.

 

The bonfire tradition is still popular in many parts of the North West.

 

Local Authorities however are asking that people do not burn waste materials and old tyres.

 

Communities are also being requested not to provide materials for bonfires.
