Sligo-Leitrim TD blames “foot-dragging” by HSE for lack of CAMHS funding



A Sligo-Leitrim TD has blamed “foot-dragging” by the HSE for the lack of funding for early intervention mental health services for young people in Sligo and Leitrim.

Deputy Martin Kenny highlighted the fact these services are already available in Cavan and Monaghan, but there is still nothing for Sligo and Leitrim, despite being in the same CHO1 area.

Speaking in the Dáil, Deputy Kenny said that people were dragging their feet on the matter, despite the HSE clarifying that funding would be granted for the services in the Sligo-Leitrim area:
