‘People of Creeslough’ voted Donegal Person of the Year



The Donegal Association in Dublin has named the ‘People of Creeslough’ the Donegal Person of the Year.

Ten people were killed by an explosion at a service Station in the Donegal town last October.

Chairperson Kevin McFadden says the “strength and courage” shown by the people of Creeslough after the tragedy inspired thousands to vote for them this year.

The association was founded almost 90 years ago in response to the Aranmore Disaster when 19 islanders died at sea.
