An investigation has been launched into an assault in Sligo.
The incident happened earlier this afternoon on Castle Street with Gardai attending the scene.
It’s believed that a number of people were involved in the attack with at least one person injured.
The extent of their injuries is currently not known.
Gardai are appealing for witnesses to come forward – anyone with information is being urged to contact Sligo Garda station.
