Seve lands a ‘hole-in-one’ at the West

Dutch golfer Seve Prins won lots of admirers at County Sligo Golf Club this weekend when he scored a hole-in-one on the Par 3 fourth hole during his third round of the Connolly’s Audi West of Ireland Championship.

Prins, who was named after the legendary Spanish golfer Severiano Ballesteros, missed out on qualification for the matchplay stages of the tournament by one stroke.

Sunday’s hole-in-one came on what would have been the late Spaniard’s 66th birthday.

Prins, who was competing in the West for the first time, spoke with Ocean FM Sport’s Austin O’Callaghan after his ‘ace’ at the fourth.
