Brendan McDyer wins Gradam Shéamuis Mhic Géidigh



Naomh Conaill’s Brendan McDyer has been announced as the 2022 recipient of the Gradam Shéamuis Mhic Géidigh.

The award, for the best player in the Donegal Senior Football Championship, is named in honour of much-respected RTÉ Raidió na Gaeltachta broadcaster Séamus Mac Géidigh who died suddenly in July 2016.

McDyer was instrumental in Naomh Conaill regaining the Dr Maguire Cup this year were a series of impressive performances en route to to final.

In the county decider, the Fintown club ousted defending champions St Eunan’s by

Donegal captain Michael Murphy won the inaugural award in 2016.
