A Sligo Councillor is calling on the council to support Atlantic Technological University’s Expression of Interest application to the Higher Education Authority for a veterinary medicine course and designated building at ATU’s Sligo campus.
University College Dublin is currently the only Irish third-level institution that provides the course in Ireland with many students forced to study in other European countries if they do not obtain the correct number of CAO points.
