Two Sligo candidates elected onto Fianna Fail’s National Executive Committee

Two Sligo candidates have been elected onto Fianna Fail’s influential National Executive Committee of 15.
Edel McSharry of Sligo topped the poll in the female ballot at the party’s Ard Fheis, polling 18.6% of the vote on the first count, the only candidate to be elected on the first count. She’s a former Director of Elections for Deputy Marc MacSharry.
Former Ballymote-based councillor Keith Henry was also elected on the first count. He polled over 12% of the vote and was the first candidate elected in the male ballot.
