Taoiseach wants Mica Redress scheme with honesty and transparency to commence



The Taoiseach says it’s time to move forward with the final Mica Redress Scheme.

 

The scheme, approved this week by Cabinet will cost around 2-point-7 billion euro.

 

It is anticipated that homes in Sligo will be added to the plan in time once an assessment process has been completed by the local Authority.

 

Responding to questions from Donegal Sinn Fein TD Padraig MacLochlainn as it relates to whether there will be a pre-legislative scrutiny of the scheme, Taoiseach Michael Martin says he wants honesty and transparency but that it’s time to get on with it:
