The opening game of the 2022 Connacht FBD GAA competition this bank holiday Monday, January 3rd, will be broadcast live on Ocean FM from the NUI Galway Connacht GAA Air Dome in Bekan at 6pm.
The game will be Andy Moran’s first competitive fixture in charge of Leitrim, since taking over from Terry Hyland.
The game is a quarter-final and will be played to a finish on the evening using the ‘Golden Score’ rule, with the winners set to face Roscommon in the semi-final next Saturday.
Match commentary will be provided by John Lynch and Martin McGowan from 6pm.
The game is also being streamed live by Connacht GAA for €10.
The match is set to become the first competitive senior intercounty football match to be played indoors on the island of Ireland.
