A campaign is under way to reassure domestic abuse victims that help is there for them throughout the Christmas period
The Still Here campaign will be relaunched today.
It comes against a backdrop of the scandal over cancelled 999 calls to Gardaí.
Over 200,000 calls between 2019 and 2020, were cancelled, over 3,000 of which related to domestic violence.

Sligo Leitrim Sinn Fein TD Martin Kenny has raised the cancelation of the calls in the Dáil with the Garda Commissioner Drew Harris.
He says it’s vital that those who are victims of domestic abuse know there is help available
