Minister of State for Local Government and Planning Peter Burke will be in Leitrim today to open and inspect a number of housing projects in the area.
Minister Burke is expected to visit areas such as Manorhamilton and Drumshanbo where he will inspect turnkey housing projects that are being constructed for the local authority.
It’s also expected that he will hold meeting with some local representatives and community activists in relation to the issue of planning permission for one off housing in Leitrim.
During his visit the Minister will also view vacant homes in the county.
Today’s trip will also include a meeting with the CEO of Leitrim County Council Lar Power in relation to public realm works in Carrick-on-Shannon and a meeting with local Fine Gael members
