Gardaí in Sligo have arrested two women in connection with the theft of property from a premises in the town.
At around 3pm yesterday Gardaí in Sligo were notified about a quantity of property left in a bag on the grounds of Sligo University Hospital.
Gardai subsequently located and arrested two females on suspicion of Theft, in relation to this property.
Both women were detained in Sligo Garda Station as Gardaí investigated the matter.
Following the arrest of the women further property, believed to be stolen, was recovered.
Enquiries are ongoing, with a number of businesses having been identified as having property stolen.
