Cautious welcome to return of Mountcharles respite services

There has been a cautious welcome to the return of respite services in Mountcharles, Co. Donegal.

Local Sinn Fein Councillor, Noel Jordan, says while it is great to see the service return for 5 days a week at Seaview House, he believes a 7 day service is required to meet the needs of the area.

He says the HSE have made an application for the respite house to operate everyday for those with an intellectual disability.

Councillor Jordan says Seaview House caters to a large area of South Donegal and the local community ‘deserve’ a 7 day service.
