Thirty-five patients are waiting for beds in the north west’s two main hospitals today.
Nineteen are in Sligo University Hospital, 16 of whom are in the emergency department.
There are 16 waiting for beds in Letterkenny University Hospital, with four in the emergency department and 12 in wards and other areas of the hospital.
Overall throughout the country today, 337 patients are waiting for beds, 6 of whom are under the age of 16.
