Upgrades needed for Rathcormack National School car park; funding supplied for new rooms

A Sligo Councillor is calling for the resurfacing and general upgrading of the car park at Rathcormac National School.

Fine Gael Councilor, Tom Fox says the area is very busy with four approach roads leading into the area with a high volume of traffic on a daily basis.

Separately, funding has been allocated by the Minister for Education, Norma Foley for the building of a new extension at the school with hopes it can be built before the end of the year.

It provides for an 80m squared classroom along with three 15m squared SET Rooms.

Councillor Fox is calling for the upgrade of the school car park in the interest of public safety.
