HSE urge caution as Covid-19 cases in the region increase



The HSE North West is urging people to “act sensibly” after a number of social gatherings have contributed to a rise in Covid cases in the counties of Sligo and Donegal.

 

Funerals, wakes, house parties, and other indoor gatherings have led to outbreaks in the past two weeks.

 

A new pop-up test center has been established in Buncrana, which currently has the highest infection rate in the country.

 

Dr Anthony Breslin, director of public health for the HSE north-west says the increase is linked to small, specific events and people dropping their guard when it comes to public health advice:
