Restaurants and pubs open across the north west as country hits major milestone



Restaurants and pubs across Sligo, Leitrim and Donegal are reopening for the first time in months today as the country hits a major milestone in the reopening plan.

Outdoor service is resuming for groups of up to six people per table with children under 13 not included in this requirement.

There will be no substantial meal rule or time limit but customers will have to leave premises by 11.30pm.

One Visitor from one other household can visit each other, 25 people can attend a wedding, cinemas and theatres are also reopening along with gyms, swimming pools and leisure centres for individual training.

Outdoor sports matches can resume, a maximum of 100 people can attend organised outdoor events for most venues with a maximum of 200 for outdoor venues with a minimum capacity of 5,000.

Cathaoirleach of Sligo County Council, Dara Mulvey is encouraging people to follow the guidelines, enjoy themselves and to leave the areas they are in free of rubbish.
