The CEO of a private hospital group with hospitals in Sligo and Belfast says the opening of a new clinic in Letterkenny will help reduce surgical waiting lists in the north west.
The new medical and diagnostic consulting centre in Letterkenny will provide access to more than 200 consultants and to surgery at Kingsbridge Private Hospitals in Sligo or Belfast.
Appointments will available in urology, gynaecology, rheumatology and other surgeries as well as audiology and physiotherapy services.
Mark Regan, CEO of Kingsbridge Private Hospitals, says for far too long, people in the north west have suffered as a result of limited resources and delays in medical treatment.
