Dr Glynn rules out regional restrictions



The Deputy Chief Medical Officer has ruled out a regional approach to restrictions across Ireland.

 

That’s despite counties such as Leitrim having had an average of less than five cases a day over the past five days.

 

 

The Department of Health has confirmed that there has been one additional death from Covid-19.

 

520 new cases of the virus have also been reported in the latest set of figures.

 

The number of new cases has reduced compared to previous days in the North West. There were 9 new cases in Donegal, less than 5 in Sligo and none in Leitrim.
