Gardaí in Sligo are advising motorists that road conditions in many parts of the county are treacherous this morning (Saturday).
Black ice has been reported on many secondary roads.
There are also reports of dangerous road conditions in the Ballingleara, Drumshanbo and Drumkeerin areas in Leitrim.
Drivers are being urged to take extra care and to only travel if absolutely necessary.
All main roads across county Donegal were gritted at 6am on Saturday morning.
Donegal County Council says drivers should assume that all roads have ice.
