Different public service buildings around the North West were lit up in purple last night as part of National Day to go Purple.
The initiative was organised to raise awareness and funds for domestic services in Ireland.
Some County Council buildings and garda stations got involved and altered the exteriors of their premises.
Gardaí are all urging victims of domestic abuse to come forward for help.
